I'm an elopement and intimate wedding photographer, husband, dog-dad and former Royal Marine.

I want to capture your Scottish elopement in all of its epic, romantic intimacy, because life is an adventure, and your day should reflect that.

So whether your connection is with towering mountains, crushing rivers, dark forests or fields of snow, I am the photographer to give you the jaw-dropping shots your love story deserves.

If you're looking for a photographer who is not only talented but a joy to work with, Matt is a true artist and a wonderful person to have by your side on such an important day - he was the perfect fit for our elopement in Scotland.

The photos Matt captured are absolutely stunning and beyond anything we could have imagined.

We wanted out-of-the-ordinary wedding photos to hang on the wall for years to come, and Matt delivered MANY of those. He also directed the day stress-free and found the perfect ceremony location for our requirements - he is worth every dollar.

We weren't sold on the idea of an elopement until we found Matt and his work.

Not sure where to start?

Imagine doing things differently. Imagine choosing to elope to the Isle of Skye at the hands of a Glencoe elopement photographer who will capture your day with an unashamedly cinematic feel. Imagine taking control of your elopement back and crafting a day that focusses on you, your connection, and your sense of adventure. Imagine letting go and allowing yourself to be consumed by the vast Scottish landscapes as you get married in the most epic and spectacular setting.

All of this is possible when you elope to the Isle of Skye - an experience more than a process, an elopement as unique as you, a day longing for the big screen.

An Isle of Skye elopement that looks like scenes from a film, because your love story deserves to be captured cinematically.

The Isle of Skye - Scotland's second largest and arguably most famous island - is truly a place all should visit at least once in their lifetime. The Isle of Skye rightfully holds a place on many bucket lists around the world, and for that reason many visit Scotland for the sole purpose of visiting Skye. Affectionately known as the Misty Isle, the Isle of Skye is famous for its lingering mountain mist, it's roots in folklore and the many enchanting features on the island. The mystery of the Isle of Skye culminates in the spectacular Cuillin Mountains in the south of the island - a deep fortress of peaks forming an almost impenetrable wall, and with access only by foot or by sea.

As someone who has not only captured countless elopements within Glencoe's beautiful valley, but also personally eloped to Glencoe, I have a strong connection to the region and can vouch for it as a location to make your life-long vows. Relatively speaking, Glenoce is compact in size and much of the region can be visited during your elopement here in Scotland.

Beginning with morning preparations on the day of your elopement, the Isle of Skye spoils its visitors with a huge choice of country hotels and quaint self-catering cottages. When the time comes for your ceremony, there are almost limitless choices for locations - whether that be at the foot of a mountain, on the banks of a river or hidden deep within a forest. Picking a ceremony spot can be a difficult choice, but I am here to guide and recommend based on your preferences and the size of your wedding party. And finally, as we head out on your post-ceremony photoshoot, I guide you across some of Skye's most famous landmarks such as the Quairaing, Fairy Pools and Neist Point for a gallery of cinematic photographs.

The Isle of Skye is truly a wonderful location to tie the knot in Scotland, and is rightfully high up on the list of potential elopement locations for those who do.

Why choose the Isle of Skye for your Scottish elopement?

Let's team up

A winner in the European Way Up North Awards, a finalist in the International Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards, and identified as an emerging artist for 2024, my work as an Isle of Skye elopement photographer is internationally recognised. However, what truly sets me apart is the experience of eloping I provide to all those I work with. I pride myself on the experience I provide my couples - who elope from all over the world - from initial contact to crafting your perfect day, from guiding you through the Isle of Skye to capturing the photographs you never thought possible.
Combine this with my experience working in every corner of Scotland, in every type of weather imaginable, and what you end up with is the elopement day perfect for your love story, your sense of adventure and your attraction to the great outdoors.

Not only do I capture Isle of Skye elopements, but also symbolic ceremonies, vow renewals, and adventure sessions - whether that be to celebrate your engagement or anniversary. Whatever your story, it deserves to be told with attention to detail, with authenticity, and it deserves to be shown in spectacular fashion.
